My fun-loving musical comedy Underneath The Christmas Tree © 2017 features a 75 page script in 3 acts. It sports an electrifying overture plus 13 original character-driven songs in a variety of styles, from Broadway to gospel to operatic misbehaving – and everything in between!
The show was inspired in late 2011 during my creative work on a skit entitled “Fudge Raiser For Mrs. Claus” , written and directed by Nansie Benton for Dominical Little Theater in Dominical Costa Rica. Can you spot me in the photo below? I’m The Gingerbread Man, you betcha! 🥳

In my full-length musical stage show, the curtain opens on Christmas Eve. An unsuspecting American family with ticket reservations to Radio City Music Hall is transported through time and space to the wilds of The North Pole, stumbling upon a whodunnit mystery that requires diligent solving before Santa can be on his merry way. Cookies seem to be at the heart of this comedy caper, with The Gingerbread Man finally winning the day!

Imagine being handed a business card by the villain featured in Underneath The Christmas Tree!
Below, insider information about my 2018 Airbnb in Caithness Scotland:

For 10 days in October 2018, the historic Gingerbread House pictured above served as my Airbnb as I explored Scotland for the first time. In an astonishing serendipity, this 19th century architectural gem seemed to be a set designer’s vision lifted straight outa my show, which I had copyrighted only months before on Christmas Day 2017. Even the second floor bedroom gable window seems designed exclusively for my story’s hero, The Gingerbread Man. From this perch, he closes the show, waving joyfully to the cast members and audience during the musical’s grand finale. Finding a treasure like this to lease as an Airbnb seems impossible, given my recent copyrighting of the script, music and lyrics. Apparently dreams can come true!

On Sunday March 25, 2018, I launched a Table Reading, treating my volunteers to stocking stuffers, including a custom-made bookmark featuring snippets of a script scene printed on reverse.
BTW, the little Gingerbread House featured on the bookmark and script cover has been one of my own treasured tree ornaments for almost 5 decades. Caring for it over the years, I never imagined it would eventually take center stage in a multimedia production so close to my heart!
I am actively looking for a production company to develop Underneath The Christmas Tree.
